A fun collection for fall, Abstraction features four designs inspired by abstract art, using the visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition which may be independent from visual references in the world (wiki).

Composition

Composition is a boomerang shaped triangular shawl with wavy stripes and a stepped intarsia border. It is worked from written instructions only, and can easily be re-sized by repeating the triple wavy stripe portions.

A video link is provided for the garter stitch intarsia technique. The design is suitable for sport to worsted weight yarns; just be sure to adjust your yarn requirements accordingly when making substitutions.
