“Come As You Are” is a triangular shawl.
You start knitting from the narrow tip of the shawl, so it can be made as long or as short as you want, depending on how much yarn you have! The entire shawl is knit in a simple and interesting Mosaic stitch.
Because of the Mosaic stitch we are using, the finished shawl should be shaped like an isosceles triangle, but this construction also depends on type of yarn chosen. So don’t be surprised if your finished shawl is shaped like a scalene triangle.
The particularity of the shawl also lies in the yarns chosen. Each section is knit using two yarns of different weights: one thinner than the other. This detail adds interesting texture to the Mosaic stitch. Moreover, the yarns used are also composed of different fibers: this offers the possibility of experimenting with various unusual combinations! I suggest a combination of six yarns, but you can also work with more or fewer types, as long as you use an even number of yarn types.
In addition, this shawl can also be made larger or smaller by knitting a greater or lesser number of repetitions of the mosaic pattern.
The shawl is finished with I-cord borders for a tailored look.

Finished measurements:
195 cm – 76 ¾ in along the longer side and 138 cm – 54 ½ in along the shorter sides (after blocking).

First colour (C1): COWGIRLBLUES Kidsilk Semi Solid (Lace weight yarn; 70% Mohair and 30% Silk; 205 m – 224 yds / 25 g – 0.88 oz. ball): Natural (white); 1 ball (41 m – 45 yds);
Second colour (C2): MYAK Baby Yak| Silk (Light fingering weight yarn; 50% Yak and 50% Silk; 115 m – 126 yds / 25 g – 0.88 oz. skein): Samsara (pink); 1 skein (115 m – 126 yds);
Third colour (C3): ITO Kinu (Lace weight yarn; 100% Silk; 425 m – 465 yds / 50 g – 1.76 oz. cone): 351 String (light brown); 1 cone (170 m – 186 yds);
Fourth colour (C4): SCHOPPEL WOLLE BIO merinos (Sport weight yarn; 95% Merino and 5% Linen; 150 m – 164 yds / 50 g – 1.76 oz. ball): 1881 Kardinal (red); 2 balls (240 m – 263 yds);
Fifth colour (C5): MYAK Baby Yak lace (Lace weight yarn; 100% Yak; 350 m – 384 yds / 50 g – 1.76 oz. skein): Oatmeal (beige); 1 skein (315 m – 345 yds);
Sixth colour (C6): WOLLEN Berlin Lino Mūka (Light fingering weight yarn; 100% Linen; 245 m – 268 yds / 50 g – 1.76 oz. skein): Aubergine (purple); 2 skeins (295 m – 323 yds).
Note: Lino Mūka is worked held doubled.
Needles size 4 mm – US 6. If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
Tapestry needle and scissors.
Pins and a tape measure for blocking.
Please note: C1, C3 and C5 correspond to the thinner yarns; C2, C4 and C6 correspond to the thicker yarns. If possible, try to choose your yarns so that the yarns in each group are as similar as possible to each other in terms of thickness.

Gauge:
19 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm – 4 in in mosaic pattern B (after blocking).
In fact the gauge is not very important in this pattern. Since the knitting starts from the narrow end of the shawl, it is easy to adjust the length based on how much yarn you have.

“Come As You Are” è uno scialle asimmetrico con una forma triangolare insolita.
Si incomincia a lavorare da una punta, per cui sarà possibile realizzarlo in varie misure, a seconda della disponibilità di filato che si possiede! A causa del punto mosaico adoperato, dovremmo ottenere un triangolo isoscele, ma questa costruzione dipende molto dal tipo di filato adoperato, per cui non ci dovremo meravigliare se la forma finale sarà quella di un triangolo scaleno.
Lo scialle è lavorato completamente con un semplice punto mosaico molto suggestivo.
La particolarità dello scialle, inoltre, è l’uso dei filati che lo compongono. Ogni sezione è lavorata con due filati di spessore diverso: uno più sottile dell’altro. Questa particolarità rende il punto mosaico adoperato molto interessante. I filati usati, inoltre, sono diversi anche per composizione: sarà una buona occasione per sperimentare diverse combinazioni anche inconsuete e inusuali! La combinazione che propongo io è di sei filati, ma si potrà tranquillamente lavorare con meno o più filati, badando unicamente che siano in numero pari.
In aggiunta a tutto quello detto prima, lo scialle potrà essere realizzato più grande o più piccolo, lavorando più o meno ripetizioni del punto mosaico.
È rifinito con un bordo I-cord che dona un aspetto più curato allo scialle.

Misure finite:
195 cm lungo il lato più lungo e 138 cm lungo il lato più corto (dopo il bloccaggio).

Filato e ferri:
Primo colore (C1): COWGIRLBLUES Kidsilk Semi Solid (70% mohair e 30% seta; 205 m per gomitolo da 25 g): Natural (bianco); 1 gomitolo (41 m);
Secondo colore (C2): MYAK Baby Yak| Silk (50% yak e 50% seta; 115 m per matassa da 25 g): Samsara (rosa intenso); 1 matassa (115 m);
Terzo colore (C3): ITO Kinu (100% seta; 425 m per cono da 50 g): 351 String (tortora); 1 cono (170 m);
Quarto colore (C4): SCHOPPEL WOLLE BIO merinos (95% merino e 5% lino; 150 m per gomitolo da 50 g): 1881 Kardinal (rosso scuro); 2 gomitoli (240 m);
Quinto colore (C5): MYAK Baby Yak lace (100% yak; 350 m per matassa da 50 g): Oatmeal (beige); 1 matassa (315 m);
Sesto colore (C6): WOLLEN Berlin Lino Mūka (100% lino; 245 m per matassa da 50 g): Aubergine (malva scuro); 2 matasse (295 m). Attenzione: il Lino Mūka è lavorato in doppio.
Il metraggio indicato è il consumo effettivo.
Ferri numero 4 mm. Se necessario modificare il numero dei ferri per ottenere il campione corretto.
Altro:
Ago da lana e forbici.
Spilli e metro da sarta per il bloccaggio.
Attenzione: C1, C3 e C5 corrispondono a filati sottili, C2, C4 e C6 corrispondono a filati più grossi. Se possibile, cercare di fare in modo che i due gruppi abbiano uno spessore il più possibile simile.
Consiglio, inoltre, di usare colori contrastanti: questo accorgimento semplificherà il lavoro e renderà il motivo del punto mosaico finito più bello e definito.

Campione:
19 m e 36 /giri = 10 cm lavorati a punto mosaico B (dopo il bloccaggio).
In realtà il campione non è molto importante perché, incominciando dal vertice più stretto, è possibile regolare in modo molto semplice la lunghezza dello scialle a seconda di quanto filato si possiede.
