This cushion was originally designed for the Stylecraft Blogtour in October 2016 to promote the release of some new colours in the Stylecraft Special Aran yarn range.

The cushion features a striking tucked stitch pattern to show off some colourful stripes and add some interesting texture to the cushion.

I decided to combine knitting and sewing and made an envelope back using some coordinating vintage-look fabric. If you don’t want to do that, you could easily make a similar back by knitting instead.

It’s the perfect pattern for using up oddments of Aran weight yarn.
