A new take on the old classic solid granny motif, this blanket uses a traditional square set on point to bring a whole new look and make these squares just sing with colour.
Pattern Description
Simple solid granny squares, sewn together with a border worked in the round.

Beginner
A great next step on from the classic granny square, a simple blanket and border using basic stitches and a decreasing stitch.
Yarn
Cascade 220
26 balls in 23 different colours (See table on page 7 for full details)
Or approximately 5700 yards of your own choice of worsted yarn. (You may need less if you are using fewer colours.)
Yarn Substitutions
This pattern can be made in any weight of yarn. Just use the appropriate hook size and remember that your yardage requirements will vary. If you would like to use Stylecraft Special DK yarn, I have included the closest colour equivalents on the table on page 7 for reference.)
