Both Tote and Zip Pouch are worked flat in pieces in Garter stitch and seamed together. When making the pieces, place a removable marker on the right side of the work. An easy way to keep track of rows is to count the Garter stitch ridges. Each ridge counts as two rows.

The pouch changes colors using the intarsia method. Bring the new strand up and around the old strand to help prevent holes from forming in the work. When changing colors after a row, cut colors and weave in ends at each color change.
