Colorblock Cozy
The Colorblock Cozy sock features a unique construction, and many tests were conducted before I was satisfied and found the ideal construction. The blocks are knitted back and forth, not in the round as is usually the case with socks. As a result, the knitting tends to be a bit looser (as seen in the photos), so I recommend using slightly smaller needles than what you’re used to. In my case, 2.25mm instead of 2.5mm. The pattern is written for the use of two circular needles of 60 or 80cm, which can be replaced by double-pointed needles. Knitting on a small circular needle (23/25cm) is not really possible with this construction or at least very difficult.
Yarn:
Merino Twist Sock (100gr/ 366m) 80% merino, 20% nylon or a similar 4-ply/fingering weight yarn. I used 5 mini skeins of 20 grams each. For larger sizes, an extra mini skein for the cuff/heel/toe is needed or a different arrangement of the colors. You may want to use a scale to determine if you have enough left for the second sock.
