Color Pattern Practice Hat
This pattern begins on page 12 and continues to page 31. It serves as an introduction pattern for beginners so they can learn about gauge, casting on, ribbing, stockinette, knitting in the round, increasing, color-patterning, decreasing and blocking.
There is not a recommended yarn or yarn weight for this pattern but one might venture to guess that EZ would advise a worsted weight wool.
Also referred to as the 84-Stitch Cap.
This pattern may be found in PART 1: BEGINNINGS - A HAT of Knitting Workshop. The pattern is explained throughout four chapters, which teach casting on, knitting, gauge, increasing, color-pattern knitting, decreasing, and blocking. (Pages 7-31)
In the updated edition, the pattern is on pp 3-23.
