Collage Socks
Collage is such an intriguing art form. It’s accessible to anyone with a bit of paper and glue, and offers infinite possibilities for self expression. The spark of a great collage is always in the juxtaposition: funny, poignant, profound. It’s also a brilliant brainstorming tool, a way to access your creativity and surprise yourself with new ideas.
The Collage Socks are cute, cosy, and unexpected. I’ve designed them as scrappy colourblocked shorties with a little bit of lace detail on the front of the cuff, but they’d be just as sweet in a single colour.
Just like a collage, these socks are endlessly customisable. They’re fingering/sock-weight socks, but I’ve made them with a short cuff for a quicker knit. Of course, if you want them longer, you can just keep knitting! The pattern comes with three sizes, and they have a ribbed heel and gusset construction and a wedge toe, but you can easily substitute them for your favourite heel and toe finishes.
