Coco's Challenge
Slouch hats are all the rage, so when my friend Coco challenged me to create one, even though it is not my favorite style, I immediately complied. The basketweave stitch provides texture, but also stretches to accommodate a large range of sizes.
This hat can be finished off with a whimsical I-cord tassel or with a more restrained I-cord button. If making the tassel, 6 beads, approximately ¾” diameter (or desired size), with large enough hole to thread 2-stitch I-cord through are also suggested.
Pattern is both written and charted.
