Cluster
The cluster stitch is often used in Estonian knitting to add texture to delicate lace designs. Here it’s used instead with bulky yarn, a simple Estonian border, and an i-cord bind off making a warm and cozy cowl.
Cowl is knit in the round. A shift at the end of most rows ensures there’s no visible seam, at the same time making the pattern easier to memorize.
Coordinates with Flourette fingerless mitts.
Finished sizes (circumference x height):
26.75 x 11.25 (34.75 x 14, 48 x 16.5) inches
68 x 28.5 (88.5 x 35.5, 122 x 42) cm
Yarn: 200 (300, 500) yards.
