Clouds Removed
The irregular shading of a hand-dyed yarn such as the one featured here gives such lovely depth and texture to colorwork. Because so many of the afghans in this book are inspired by quilts, I like the idea of a yarn that is not all one solid color. The subtle color variations in this yarn are suggestive of the look of a batik fabric or the tone-on-tone
patterned fabrics often seen in quilts.
