Clouds Cowl and Mitts
Clouds Cowl
Isn’t it fun to look up and check out cloud formations, especially on those gorgeous, blue sky, fluffy white cloud days? How often do we take a moment to just relax and enjoy the clouds floating by?
It’s a delight to knit with this fun, soft, lofty, colorful yarn, coincidently named Cloud. It floats through your fingers like clouds passing by, drifting into the atmosphere.
The cowl is composed of stitch pattern sections named after a few types of clouds – Cumulus, Stratus and Cirrus.
The Nimbus mitts have their own stand-alone pattern. They and the cowl were knit from just one skein of Cloud. Enjoy the patterns!

One skein of Lang Yarns, Cloud, 284 yards. 60 grams of yarn used for the cowl (approximately 170 yards). The sample pictured is color #0002, Rainbow.

Nimbus Mitts
Nimbus clouds are large and dark grey, bringing with them snow or rain.
You’ll have enough leftover yarn from knitting the Clouds cowl to knit these toasty Nimbus Mitts, just in time! Here we are again. It’s fall, but winter is coming. We all need a good pair of warm fingerless mitts to keep our hands toasty.
These are fast and easy! I hope you enjoy making them. Stay warm.
