Starting out as a semi-circular shawl, with drop stitch details and pointed edging, Clinquant is big and luxurious, bold and dramatic.

Materials:
Northbound Knitting Merino/Silk DK: (Metallurgy) 690 yards.
Size US 9 (5.5 mm) circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Tapestry needle

Gauge:
4 sts=1” in stockinette stitch

Note: Due to the unique shape of this shawl, I have included the measurements for the semi-circular body of the shawl and the length of the largest point.

Abbreviations Used:
K=Knit
RS=Right side
WS=Wrong side
St(s)=Stitch(es)
M1L=With left needle tip, lift strand between sts from front to back, knit into back of loop
M1R=With left needle tip, lift strand between sts from back to front, knit into front of loop
Kf&b=Knit into the front and back of same stitch
Yo=Yarn over
W&T=Wrap and Turn-Bring yarn to the front, slip one stitch from left hand needle to right, bring yarn to the back and slip stitch back to left hand needle. Turn work and bring yarn to the back. (Or W&T method of your preference.)
