The Clavi shawl uses color and shape to make a statement. This easy project is knit length-wise on the bias to form a wide, flowing shawl. The parallelogram shape makes points at each end that flatter the wearer. The shawl also shifts through striped color changes and three main blocks of color.

The Clavi shawl is worked entirely in garter stitch, which makes it a fast, fun knit!

Resizing the Clavi shawl is a cinch. To make a longer or shorter shawl, cast on more or fewer stitches. The blocks of color within the shawl can be as wide or as thin as you prefer—they do not even need to be of equal width if you would like a more asymmetrical look!

Materials needed:

• 50 g each of three colors of fingering or laceweight yarn

• size US 5 / 3.75 mm (Laceweight version: size US 3 / 3.25 mm needles) 40” / 100 cm circular needle
