This is a pattern and photo tutorial for a classic Granny Square.

No, it may not be an original pattern but I was surprised at how many people don’t know how to make one.

This tutorial has been on my site for a number of years in UK terms. I have used the same photos and instructions but have included a US translation. Pdfs in both UK and US terms are included in the download.

You can use any hook and any yarn to learn to make it. You can make it as big or as small as you wish.
