Clark's Falls - Child
From ‘Knitting Today’s Classics’: Guernsey styling from Great Britain has been readily adopted by American knitters, who have added their own slight modifications. For example, traditional Guernseys are knit very tightly with fine yarns, but Americans prefer chunkier guages. This design includes children’s sizes, and it comes in two lengths for adults – a tunic length preferred by women and a shorter version for men. The yoke is worked in a very easy version of basket stitch that has cable crossings in only three of the 18 rows of the pattern. At the edges are horizontal garter ridges. Rated as intermediate knitting, the pattern begins on page 24.
