“I WANTED to create a straight forwardcardigan that could be thrown on over a T-shirt or a summer dress,” says Mary Henderson. “The open front gives it a bit of swing movement. Because eyelets in the front bands are used as buttonholes, more buttons can be added according to the knitter’s preference. The cardigan is a top-down design using a worsted yarn and 5mm needles, without steeks, so it’s a relatively quick knit.”
