When I first held a skein of the 3-ply version of our Gulf Coast Native, I knew I had to make something with cables. The yarn’s round, plumphand begged for strong dimensional stitches. So I used a large double cable alternating with one of my favorites, a single column of Honeycomb stitch. With this much going on in the hat proper, I gave it a clean edge--no rib to distract the eye.
This pattern comes free with a purchase of 3-ply Aran weight Gulf Coast Native.
