This is a loom knit translation of the “Clamshell Stitch” from Barbara Walker’s A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns in the form of a modular square.

The pattern is written for a 6 inch square, but include instructions for creating a larger square.

Any worsted weight yarn can be substituted for the Hobby Lobby yarn. Also, it is possible to use different gauge looms. Be aware that any changes may alter the size and appearance of the original design.
