The Clam Shell hat is worked in modular pieces that build on each other. Add a change in color with each tier and you end up with a fun, stylish hat!

Update 6/21/16: The original Clam Shell Hat was knit using two shades of the same color of hand-dyed yarn from Farmhouse Yarns’ Fannie’s Fingering. We have discontinued this pattern and re-worked it so that you can now knit it using a single skein of hand-dyed yarn with the Abalone Shell Hat pattern or in multiple solid colors with the Nautilus Shell Hat pattern.
