Clair Tea Cosy
One of my most popular designs, having featured in Prima magazine as a ready made item in October 2009, in Knit Today pattern reviews in November 2011, and in Country Homes and Interiors December 2012 as a ready made item.
This tea cosy pattern is a winning style which will grace any table.
The thick tweedy yarn is accentuated with this lovely textured stitch, originated from a mis-reading of a stitch pattern book by Libby! The tea cosy is really easy to use, having a crocheted base. You could, however, use without the base, if you don’t fancy the crochet bit.
You will need two largish buttons for fastening. I recommend oxhorn buttons, as sold in John Lewis.
The original version is now out of print, but you can buy a revised and updated version in my own Chunky yarn from my website.
