Circle the Square
by Paula Levy
Our afghan consists of motifs that are knit as circles for the first 15 rounds and then, by switching to 4 sets of paired increases, they become squares. When joined, the motifs form secondary patterns of diagonal lines and lace diamonds. We made 12 and set them in a 3x4 layout, but you could easily create 16, 20, or even 25 for 4x4, 4x5, or 5x5 options.
Skill level: Intermediate
Colorway shown: 62170 Cerulean Mix
Pattern found on p. 42.
