Circle Birds, Little Parker & Chick Webb
These birds populate my Bird Bolero. There are left- and right-facing birds in four sizes, so they may be joined to create a three-d bird.
There are 3 tail options - well four if you include not making a tail.
There are also three sizes of left and right facing wings, so more than 20 different birds are possible in this pattern collection.
Using a G/4mm hook and worsted weight yarn
The sizes were
Large 4.5” x 2.25” 11.4 cm x 5.7 cm
Medium 4” x 2” 10.2 cm x 5.1 cm
Small 3.75” x 1.5” 9.5 cm x 3.8 cm
The collection also includes two more right and left-facing birds created for my bird bolero, named for two jazz greats - Charlie Parker (aka Bird) and Chick Webb.
Fans of Portlandia have heard the exhortation to “put a bird on it” and with these quick adornments, you may do just that.
The left and right facing versions e offer the possibility of creating small, stuffed, dimensional versions.
You may use any yarn and hook combination,
worsted with F/3.75mm hook was 3”L x 2.5” H /
