Finished bust measurement: 74 (79, 84, 92, 99, 107,
114.5) cm / 29 (31, 33, 36, 39, 42, 45)” – suggested worn
with 0-5 cm / 0-2” negative ease
Model has 81 cm / 32” bust, measures 173 cm / 5’8” tall,
and is wearing size 3, with 2.5 cm / 1” positive ease
Yarn: Hazel Knits Artisan Sock (4ply/Fingering weight;
90% superwash merino wool, 10% nylon; 365 m / 400 yds
per 120 g skein)
Shade: Plum Glace; 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5) skeins
Gauge: 25 sts & 34 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch
with 3.25 mm needles, after blocking.
Needles: 2.75 mm / US 2 knitting needles
3.25 mm / US 3 knitting needles
0.8 mm crochet hook for placing beads
Always use a needle/hook size that will result in the
correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 71 (71, 71, 90, 90, 131, 131) size 6 (4 mm) silverlined
seed beads (Toho brand recommended), tapestry
needle for seaming
Notes: Cicely is worked in pieces then seamed for a
structured finish. The neckline at the front and back is
joined with only a couple of stitches at each shoulder,
but can be narrowed by seaming a wider section of the
shoulders.The sweater is designed to be close fitting and
cropped; the top of the ribbing should hit at or just above
the smallest part of your waist.
