It’s a simple project suitable even for beginners. In just about an hour you can make a beautiful chunky headband. I love it most for the dense textured pattern, which leaves no chance to the wind and cold. It is definitely my favourite companion on bike trips throughout the year.

It’s a perfect project to use up yarn leftovers in your stash. Take 2 balls of about 35 g of your leftover yarn and you will have an accessory that goes with 2 other knitted garments. Isn’t it lovely?!

Yarn: 1.5 skeins or 72 g (108 m) of Drops Nepal held twice or any similar aran weight (if held twice) or chunky weight yarn (if held once) for an adult size.

Tools: two 8 mm (11 US) pointed or circular needles, tapestry needle or a crochet hook.

Gauge: 15 sts in 10 cm /4 in.

Final measurements: ca. 12 cm/ 4.7 in wide in Adult size, ca. 10 cm/ 4 in in Child. Custom circumference.
