A classic top-down, raglan sleeve construction, meaning the knitting starts at the ribbed neckline. The entire garment is knit all in one with no seaming required. A garter stitch button band and stocking stitch body changes at the waist into wide ribs. This adds to the slim fit of the sweater. Something desirable for such a bulky knit.
