The Chunky brioche jacket is worked back and forth with double thread on thick needles. You cast on the back and both front pieces separately, so that a vent on both sides is formed. This way, the brioche stitch lays perfectly at your waist and hip, without creating the look of too much fabric. You then close your work to the round, only to separate it again at the armhole opening. For casting off the stitches at the shoulders, you will need a 3rd needle, see «Tips» for further explanations. Using this method, a neat shoulder seam is formed that keeps your knit properly in place. All edges are worked with single thread on thinner needles, creating a cool effect, with the heavier brioche next to the delicate stockinette stitch.
The jacket is medium long with an oversize fit. The brioche stitch is stretchy and moves nicely when worn. You therefore find collective sizes, as one size can fit different body types.
Size guide:
This jacket is designed to be worn with approx. 30 cm positive ease (30 cm larger than your bust measurements).
The stated measurement on the front page is for the finished garment.
