Christmas Ornament Joy
Christmas Ornament Joy has been designed for the book Kerst & Winterhaaksels which was published in 2018 to support Charity. Now the single pattern for this ornament is available. Joy measures about 13,5 cm’s when I crochet her with a 2.0mm hook. When you go up a hooksize, she might be bigger, but proportions remain intact. This means gauge isn’t important.
This pattern is currently available in DUTCH and US ENGLISH.
Crochet Ornament Joy is a crocheted Christmas ornament inspired on a more traditional crocheted Christmas Angel. This pattern includes the doll as pictured. She is made seamless, so no seaming parts afterwards.
Yarn:
- Scheepjes Catona in different colors for the doll: Colors are Petal Peach, Ruby, Bridal White and Emerald.
Hook:
This doll is crocheted with a 2.0mm hook and the suggested yarn above. It’s important to crochet tight enough, since you don’t want the fibrefill to show. Also don’t crochet to tightly it’ll be a strain on your wrists. If you crochet loosely, please go down a size. If you crochet tightly go up a size. The proportions of this girl stay intact.
Gauge
In single crochet: 17 sc x 17 rows measures 5x5 cm, using Scheepjes Catona and a 2.0mm hook.
Gauge, however is not important for this pattern. Different hooks and different yarn give you a different size for your doll, but the proportions stay intact.
Notions
Needle for weaving ends, scissors, fibrefill, stitchmarker. Also needed: glue and pins for her hair.
