This PDF knitting pattern has full instructions to knit this gorgeous Christmas Tree Gnome/Gonk. He stands 34 cms high (13.5”) to the top of his hat. Knitted in DK yarn, the Gnome’s body and hat is knitted in one piece and the branches are knitted separately and stitched on. This leaves plenty of opportunity to adapt the pattern if you wish. Also the string of lights is crocheted but you could use ready made pompoms if you wish.
This pattern is written over 7 A4 Pages (including the front cover and pompom instructions on the back page) and includes full knitting and making up instructions. The instructions are broken down row by row when shaping. The stitches used are stocking stitch and garter stitch. Therefore, I would say that this pattern is suitable for the intermediate knitter or a beginner who is confident using finer needles and dk yarn. The pompoms are made using double crochet. Knitted on straight single point needles.
Yarns required 1X 100 gram ball of green for the tree, 1 x 50 gram ball for the snow and oddments in different colours for the lights. 1 x50gram ball of Sirdar Snuggly for the beard.
