Bitsy Baby Elf is ready to help on Christmas Eve.

Although he’s only small, Bitsy Elf is working hard, filling lots of stockings for children to enjoy, early on Christmas morning.
Bitsy Elf’s stocking is just big enough to contain a little gift-or maybe a candy a cane?

Bitsy Babies are cute little pocket sized dolls.
They are made from bits and pieces of left over yarn-
That is why they are called
–Bitsy Babies!-

They are so quick and easy to make.
An ideal project for new knitters and fun little project for more experienced crafters.

You can create your own Bitsy Baby in just an evening. –
The body and head are knitted in one piece and after seaming and stuffing the legs are created by sewing a seam through from front to back to divide the legs.

The arms use very simple shaping and are sewn on when making up this cute little character.

Bitsy Elf’s stripy hat is knitted flat and shaped with basic decreases
.
The Christmas stocking is knitted flat with a few, very simple short rows to shape the heel. It is then seamed down the back and under the foot.

Size-14cm /5.5”- Just the right size to fit in a pocket!

Check the recommended needle size for your yarn and use a needle 1 size smaller.
This will give a close textured stocking stitch which will hold its shape well when stuffed

You will also need-
