Notes: Christabel is constructed bottom-up in pieces, then seamed. The collar and bands are picked up and worked after the pieces have been assembled. To create a structured jacket, the gauge given is fairly dense for the yarn. Be sure to choose a yarn that will give a dense fabric at the given gauge and avoid yarns with too much drape or the collar won’t stand up. The seamed construction also aids in giving a crisp, hard-wearing structure.
