Finished bust circumference: 96.5 (105.5, 114.5, 125.5, 136.5,
145.5, 155, 165, 178) cm / 38 (41½, 45, 49½, 54, 57½, 61, 65, 70)”
- to be worn with up to 25 cm / 10” positive ease.
Model has 86 cm / 34” bust, stands 166 cm / 5’5” tall and
is wearing a size 2.
Yarn: De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (worsted weight; 100%
Merino wool; 250 m / 273 yds per 100 g ball)
Shades:
A: Fauve (rust); 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6) balls
B: Argile (pink); 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) balls
Gauge: 18 sts & 24 rows = 10cm / 4” over stocking stitch
worked in the round on 4.5 mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 4mm / US 6 and 4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle,
80 cm / 32” length
4mm / US 6 and 4.5 mm / US 7 DPNs OR minimum 100 cm /
40” circular needle for Magic Loop, for working the
Sleeves, Neckband and 3-needle cast off. If preferred
the Neckband may be worked with a 40 cm / 16” length
circular needle instead.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct
gauge after blocking.
Notions: 2 stitch markers in different colours, waste yarn or
stitch holder, tapestry needle
Notes: Two versions of this jumper are given - Chris, shown
in two colours, with a contrast colour yoke, and James,
in a single shade with a textured yoke. The body of the
sweater is worked identically for both versions to the
yoke - take care to follow the correct yoke instructions for
your preferred version when indicated. Sleeves are worked
identically for both versions.
