SIZES: S (M) L

Finished measurements: Foot circumference approx. 18 (19) 20 cm / 7.25 (6.5) 8”,
leg circumference approx. 22.5 (22.5) 23.5 cm / 9 (9) 9.5”

YOU NEED:
Yarn, white sock with pink letters:
Main color: 70 (70) 80 g of Filcolana Arwetta (80 % merino, 20 % nylon - 210 m / 230 yds / 50 g), color off-white (101).
Contrast color: 20 (20) 20 g of Hedgehog Fibres Sock (90 % merino, 10 % nylon - 400 m /
437 yds / 100 g), color Rosehip.

Needle: 2.25 mm (US1) and 2.5 mm (US1.5) long circular needle for magic loop and DPNs if you prefer them. Then magic loop needle 1 corresponds to DPNs I and II and magic loop needle 2 to DPNs III and IV. The beginning of round is on the side of the sock, not at the center back as usual when working with the DPNs.

Notions: Tapestry needle for tubular BO (and duplicating the stitches).

Gauge: 32 sts x 41 rnds = 10 cm / 4” of stockinette st.

Technique: The socks are worked toe up with German short row heel. The leg is worked as stranded colorwork (traditionally or using the invisible stranding method), duplicating stitches or combining both techniques.

The pattern gives you 3 options how to work the calf for Choose Love socks.
OPTION 1: Stranded colorwork (traditional or invisible stranding)
OPTION 2: Partial stranded colorwork and duplicating stitches.
OPTION 3: Duplicating stitches

They all have benefits that work with different skills and yarns. Pros and cons for the methods are explained in the pattern.
