Chloe celebrates her fourth birthday with a unicorn-themed party, complete with a unicorn cake. She loves pastels, bubbles and girly things. Most of all, she loves to have fun!

Chloe is an intermediate amigurumi (crochet) pattern written in US (American) terms. The pattern includes detailed instructions in an easy to follow layout but a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi is essential.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished items. My Chloe is approx. 15cm tall when seated (6 inches).

You will receive one PDF file which requires software like Adobe Reader to open (this is free to download).

Please contact me immediately if you have purchased this pattern thinking it is an actual toy as I do not process refunds after the PDF file has been downloaded.

You will need:

  • 2.5mm hook/C-2 (US)
  • 4ply yarn/fingering > less than 50g yarn in WHITE, SKIN, PINK, PURPLE, YELLOW and BLACK
  • 7mm safety eyes
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Polyester toy stuffing
  • Stitch marker

Notes:

  • Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
  • When changing colour, pull through the new colour on the stitch before you need it. This will ensure that you have the correct colour yarn on the hook for the upcoming stitch.
  • Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
  • I’ve used the following yarns: o WHITE = Scheepjes Cotton 8 in col. 502 o SKIN = Bendigo Woollen Mills 4ply cotton in col. 816 Parchment o PINK = Scheepjes Cotton 8 in col. 654 o PURPLE = Scheepjes Cotton 8 in col. 529 o YELLOW = Scheepjes Cotton 8 in col. 508 o BLACK = Bendigo Woollen Mills 4ply cotton in col. 817 Noir
  • I have used plastic safety eyes but you may choose to embroider the eyes. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
