Pattern description from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts: “Amazingly, this striped scarf is made with just two skeins of yarn by working two rows from each skein alternately. The multi-colored yarn is dyed using a special technique so when knitted it naturally forms an ombre pattern that gradually transitions from one color to the next. Knitting this scarf is especially fun and interesting because you never know which colors of the two skeins are going to end up next to each other. I worked this scarf in a mistake rib pattern because I like the dynamic relationship between the horizontal stripes of color and the deep vertical ribs, and because it looks the same on both sides. I particularly love the name of this stitch pattern because it demonstrates how sometimes mistakes can be more interesting than perfection.”

Finished Measurements: 4” (10 cm) wide (unstretched) and 54” (137 cm) long.

Yarn: Noro Kureyon (100% wool; 110 yards [100 meters] / 50 grams): #95 lime/olive/pink/orange (A), and #130 pink/red/orange/purple (B), 1 skein each.

Needles: One set straight nedles size US 9 (5.5 mm). Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
