When I was a child, my grandma knitted a pair of socks for me. They were all white with a geometric lace motif. However, my grandma didn’t know how to knit in the round so the socks were seamed all the way up the back, which made them really uncomfortable and itchy for the little girl I was, and I secretly hated them.

Recently, those socks came to my mind and I couldn’t stop thinking about them. Now that I’m a knitter I can imagine that my grandma would have felt a bit disappointed I didn’t wear the socks frequently so I thought this would be a great way to honor my grandma, like a tribute to her, with new construction; revamp them my way, so I can love them as much as my grandma expected me to do when I was a child.

And finally, all those ideas and old memories turned out to be a pair of delicate and feminine socks, seamless and comfortable, warm and sexy at the same time!

Whether you love retro high heels or trekking boots, or even for those days when all you want to do is stay at home in your pajama’s, knitting day and night, these socks are for you! Because you deserve to feel comfy and stylish wherever you are!

These toe up socks are an enjoyable and engaging knit. The lace pattern changes every row which keeps the interest alive.
Enjoy!
