This is a pattern for a hooded poncho made in basket weave stitch.
The end product is very stretchy and thick/ warm .
It would fit a child with a chest size of 20 to 24 inch ( 50 to 60 cm )
The pattern is written in UK terms with references to standard USA terms.
The yarn used has WPI of 16 and it is important to use a similar yarn because a square is formed and different yarn will result in uneven sides.
