Chic Cap and Mitts
Uses 6 ozs. of Patons Double Knitting, or 3 oz each for hat and mittens if made separately.
No. 5 crochet hook (5.5 mm or American letter I). Tension: across 3 bobbles measures 2 inches.
Uses chain stitch, double crochet, slip stitch, treble crochet and wool-over-hook. The pattern uses British crochet terminology.
The hat is worked in the round from the top down and features an interesting plaited (braided) and threaded crown which is attached after the crochet is finished. The mittens are worked flat and seamed.
