Additional materials needed:
Wood dowel, 1/2 in. diameter and 24 in. long
2 yds. of 1 inch wide grosgrain ribbon to match yarn color
Sewing needle and thread
cable needle

NOTES:

Bag is worked in 4 pieces: Back, Front, and 2 Straps.
Back and Front are identical. Both are worked in a Cable Pattern with a casing at top edge. The casing is folded and seamed to create a sleeve for the dowels.
Straps are worked separately, then reinforced with grosgrain ribbon and sewn to Bag.
