Chestnut Hill Socks
From Lisa Parker:
A textured stitch pattern, suitable for women’s or men’s socks, that is a great way to use variegated yarns. The stitch pattern has an easy to “get the hang of” repeat. The bits of purl stitches, teamed with knit stitches, help avoid pooling of colors that may occur if a variegated yarn was knit in stockinette stitch. The pattern is written for fingering weight yarns, but is easily adaptable to other weights. Sizing is written for both adult medium and large. I added contrasting trim for fun and diversity. Made using “Iris Garden” yarn.
The stitch pattern reminded me somewhat of climbing cobblestones, thus the name. Chestnut Hill, PA is where I was born and is known for its cobblestoned Main Street.
