The vest is a must-have garment in mid-season, it is practical and very versatile, our Charlie pattern has a classic and simple unisex cut suitable for many occasions.
It features a simple knit/purl stitch distributed throughout the garment.
This pattern is worked from the bottom up, the first part is worked in the round until the underarm; the upper part is worked back and forth in two separate pieces, front and back.
Shoulders are sewn with Kitchener stitch; and then the sleeves edge and the neck are worked in rounds picking up stitches along the armhole and the neckline.
The main stitch is easy to make and is formed using only the basic stitches: knit and purl.
it worked in the round in the first part and back and forth in the upper part (on page 4 you will find the instructions for reading the Charts in flat and round)
The main stitch is very simple but also effective, it is distributed alternately throughout the garment and gives a pleasant texture reminiscent of a fabric.
We have used a pure cashmere yarn that makes the garment very soft, very warm and precious but also light and perfect as an under-jacket, it can be worn over a shirt or a turtleneck or even as a tank top on days with milder weather.
Charlie comes in 10 sizes
(from 87 to 181 cm 34.2 to 71.2 “ bust circumference).

Needles and notions
Circular needles 3.5 and 4 mm / US 4
(cables 40, 60 and 100 cm 16, 24 and 40“ )
Cast on the neck with the shorter cable and then switch to the longer cable as you increase stitches. Use 60 cm 24” for sleeves.

Il gilet è un capo immancabile nella mezza stagione è pratico e molto versatile, il nostro modello Charlie ha un taglio classico e semplice adatto a molte occasione,
perfetto sia per donna che per uomo.
Ha un punto tessuto di facile realizzazione distribuito su tutto il capo.
Questo modello si lavora dal basso verso l’lalto, la prima parte si lavora in tondo dopodiché all’altezza del sottomanica si divide il lavoro in due e si lavorai piano ( avanti e indietro) separatamente il davanti e il dietro del gilet.
Successivamente verranno cucite le spalle con cucitura a punto maglia (invisibile) verrano riprese le maglie del collo e dell’apertura maniche per rifinire i bordini.
Il punto tessuto è di facile realizzazione e si forma utilizzando solo i punti base: diritto e rovescio
Si esegue in tondo nella prima parte e in piano nella parte alte del gilet (a pag. 4 trovi le istruzioni per leggere gli schemi in piano e in tondo)
Il punto è molto semplice ma anche d’effetto , è distribuito su tutto il il gilet in modo alterno e regala una piacevole texture che ricorda un tessuto
Abbiamo utilizzato un filato pregiato in puro cashmere che rende il capo morbidissimo, molto caldo e prezioso ma anche leggero e perfetto come sottogiacca, si presta per essere indossato sopra una camicia o un dolcevita o anche come canotta nelle giornate più miti.
Nel pattern sono disponibili 10 taglie (da 87 a 181 cm di circonferenza busto), la guida alle taglie e la tabella nel PDF ti aiuteranno a scegliere la vestibilitá che preferisci.
