Charlie Blouse is worked in knit and purl. Even if it may look like fisherman’s rib, farmer’s rib is much easier to knit. The pattern has interesting lines at the increases and decreases in the same way that brioche stitch does. Charlie is worked in two strands of thin mohair, making it a light and airy textured knit.

Construction note
This sweater has a European shoulder construction, i.e. you start at the top of the back, working the back of the neck with increases on either side at the edge of each row. You work down to the the under arm, leave the sts to rest. You then work the left and then the right sides of the front to the base of the neckline and join them. The front is then also worked to the under arm, then the front and back are joined and worked in the round until the sweater is the desired length. Stitches for the sleeves are then picked up along the arm hole openings. The upper sleeve is shaped with short rows. Then the sleeve is worked in the round with decreases on the underside. The neckband is worked last.

Choose your size
Charlie Blouse is designed with an intended positive ease på 25-30 cm 10-12”. The brown sweater is pictured with a positive ease of 30 cm 12”. The grey sweater is pictured with a positive ease of 38 cm 15”, but would also work with as little as 15-20 cm 6-8” of positive ease.
The length is measured at the centre back, not including the neckband.
