Chamallow is a cardigan knitted bottom up. You start with a few rows of ribbing before knitting the body flat. Increases are made on the sides just before dividing the fronts and the back to form the armholes. The back and the two fronts are then knitted flat and joined at the shoulder with a 3-needle bind-off, stitches are left on hold to knit the neckline afterwards. Stitches are picked up along the armholes to knit the sleeves in the round. Finally, stitches are put back on the needles along the neckline to knit the border and stitches are picked up along the fronts to knit the buttonbands..

FRANCAIS

Chamallow est un cardigan qui se tricote du bas vers le haut. On commence par quelques rangs de côtes avant de tricoter le corps à plat. On réalise une série d’augmentations juste avant de séparer les devants du dos pour former les emmanchures. Le dos et les deux devants sont ensuite tricotés à plat puis assemblés avec un rabat à 3 aiguilles. Des mailles sont placées en attente pour tricoter l’encolure par la suite. . Les mailles sont relevées le long de l’emmanchure pour tricoter les manches en rond. Enfin, on on reprend les mailles le long de l’encolure pour tricoter la bordure et on relève des mailles le long des devants pour tricoter les bandes de boutonnage.
