„CHAMAELEON – The Crescent“ is one of three shawls I designed for the Frida Fuchs advent calendar 2022. Please note that the sample was not made with the advent calendar colours.
It is a huge crescent-shaped shawl which is all about „marling with mini skeins“. Like all three shawls of this series it has one (or more) line(s) of bobbles to mimic the back of a chameleon.
You knit it top down and start with just a few stitches and a column of bobbles that is exactly in the middle of the shawl. It grows fast because of increases at the edges. Once there are enough stitches you start the next column of bobbles. Because of its shape you can stop knitting any time as soon as the shawl is big enough for you.
You hold two threads together throughout which makes it a quick knit and a perfect canvas to marl on with your colours. Use your advent calendar minis at random or create your own chamaleon the way you like it.

„CHAMAELEON – The Crescent“ ist eins von drei Tüchern, die ich exklusiv für den Frida Fuchs Adventskalendar 2022 entworfen habe. Bitte beachte, dass das Sample nicht mit den Adventskalender Farben gestrickt wurde.

„CHAMALEON – The Crescent“ ist ein großes halbkreisförmiges Tuch bei dem sich alles ums „Marling mit mini skeins“ dreht. Wie alle drei Tücher dieser Serie hat es eine - oder mehrere - Noppenreihen, die an den Rücken von Chamäleons erinnern.
Man startet in der oberen Mitte mit einer Noppenreihe, die sich durch die Mitte des gesamten Tuches zieht. Das Tuch wächst schnell durch Zunahmen an den beiden äußeren Enden. Sobald genug Maschen zugenommen wurden, werden weitere Noppenreihe hinzugefügt. Das Tuch kann jederzeit beendet werden, sobald die gewünschte Größe erreicht ist.
Man strickt immer mit zwei Fäden – dadurch strickt sich das Tuch relativ schnell und es ergibt sich ein perfekter Hintergrund für das ma(r)len mit den Farben. Wähle die Farben nach dem Zufallsprinzip oder erstelle Dir Deine eigene Farbfolge – ganz wie Du es magst.
