Chair Covers with Ribbon Ties
These chair covers knit up in no time at all. Finishing may take a bit longer for this project than others, but the fabulous results will make it worth your while.
I bought these simple wooden kitchen chairs at Ikea, the Swedish store where I used to shop with my parents as a little girl. The chairs needed a nice deep cushion to make them more comfortable, but the ones I bought in cream cotton needed some spicing up. I began with the idea of a lush yarn spun from alpaca fur-oh so soft. Then I found a beautiful linen rayon ribbon to match. The Ribbons are decorative, while the matte buttons help keep the cover in place.
