Chainlink Socks
These socks are worked from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. The legs and instep feature a simple knit-purl pattern (note that the knits are all worked through the back loop) that forms a chainlink type pattern. The chainlink pattern is both charted and written out.
SIZES S (M, L). Socks should fit with 2” of negative ease in the leg.

Leg circumference:
6 1⁄4 (7, 8)“ / 15.9 (17.8, 20.3) cm
YARN
Essence of Autumn Yarn Highland Tweed Multi, 80% wool, 20% multi-color neps. 420 yards (384 m) per 4.0 oz (115 g) skein. 1 skein—70 (77, 87) g; 250 (290, 325) yards / 228 (265, 297) m used.
NEEDLES
Set of US Size 1 (2.25 mm) DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge.
GAUGE
32 stitches and 48 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in St st; 36 stitches and 40 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in Chainlink Pattern.
