This design was inspired by old chains washed up on the shore of Whidbey Island. Nestled in the Pacific Northwest waters, interesting items always show up on the shore, and chains are a more common occurrence. We daydream about where they were attached at one point. An anchor perhaps? A dock that cut loose during a storm? A buoy attached to the ocean floor? We will never know.

The chains on this cowl? They promise to stay secure and in place. Worked in the round, they are attached to each other and are a chain to nowhere! With Whidbey, you have enough material to make two cowls.
