INTRODUCTIONThe Chain Link Banner is an investigation into combining the free-spirited nature of the Bohme with the rigidity and structure of traditional crochet design. The individual panels mimic the shapework of boho macrame, the proposed fringe or tassels ableto be selected individually by each maker evoke a free-spirited vibe so prominent in modern crochet, and the joining method, or chain link if you will, pushes the limits of how traditional structured stitches can build on each other in unfamiliar way.CONSTRUCTIONThe banner is worked in panels, starting with the diamonds. The triangles are worked between completed panels, working with two yarns and hooks simultaneously to join completely seamlessly before attaching to your hanging rod.SKILL LEVEL Intermediate to advancedGAUGE NOTESGauge isnt super important here - just be sure you keep it consistent throughout the piece.SIZINGIf your gauge matches mine, each diamond panel will be 4” across and each pair of triangles will be 6” across.
