Ceres Headband
by Aud Bergo
This thick, ear-warming headband is an homage to Ceres, the goddess of agriculture, grain crops, and fertility, with a pattern motif like cereal grasses.
The Ceres Headband is constructed with two pieces: headband body and front loop. Both pieces are worked flat from the short ends with a 4-stitch, 8-row repeating pattern. The ends on both pieces are joined by grafting, and the two loop ends are joined together to form the overall appearance of a bow tie construction. The stitch pattern is both written and charted.
