I’m always fascinated by how some yarn and humble tools can be used to create something beautiful, unique, and worthy of celebration. I wanted Ceremonial Grade Cowl to be one such project - to have fun with simple stitches and colors stripes and make a lovely cowl complete with a stylish slit for versatile wear.

Ceremonial Grade cowl is a delightful canvas for experimenting with color! Combine solids, tonals, gradients, variegated yarns, or mini-skeins to create your unique look. Explore medium or high-contrast combinations to add striking visual interest.

The pattern includes instructions for three sizes and works up quickly, making it perfect for last-minute gifts or spontaneous projects.

PATTERN NOTES
♡The cowl is worked flat and seamed.

♡The knit-like texture is achieved by alternatively working over the front, back and 3rd loops of the hdc stitch.

♡The unused color is not carried throughout the rows and that results in a light drapey fabric.

♡This pattern uses slightly modified whip stitch to seam the one row hdc stripes.

18 sts and 14 rows = 4″/ 10 cm, in stitch pattern, after blocking.
